European Heritage Days 2021

The upcoming European Heritage Days will draw attention to the knowledge and skills of crafts in cultural heritage.

The 28th Heritage Days will take place on 11 and 12 September 2021.

“Gewusst wie – Faire et savoir-faire – Saper fare – Savair co far” is the theme of the 2021 European Heritage Days.

The question is what can be classified as cultural heritage and how can we preserve and develop it? What is needed to ensure that materials and buildings do not fall into disrepair after a short time, to restore and maintain works of art properly? What specialised knowledge and skills are required?

In Switzerland, hundreds of guided tours, walks, workshops and round tables are taking place on this topic.

The aim is to highlight the relationship between traditional and modern techniques. artisans and laymen are invited to immerse themselves in the world of materials, skills and crafts.
