Abbey Church Romainmôtier

The Romanesque abbey church, the oldest in Switzerland, was built by Cluny monks in the 10th century on foundations of previous buildings. Although stripped of its monastery in the Reform, this impressive monument attracts attentive visitors. As a place of rest, serenity and meditation, Romainmôtier provides particular wellbeing thanks to its exceptional decor skilfully built a thousand years ago. The film “Romainmôtier rétrospectives” is a virtual tour back to the tenth and eleven centuries and to the different monasteries and churches built at Romainmôtie
