The museum (Heimatmuseum) shows the (cultural) history of the city and the region. The museum shows the (cultural) history of the city and its surroundings. With the introduction of a decentralised museum concept, the museum can use two floors primarily for special exhibitions, while three historical themes have been relocated to their original context: agricultural production to the agricultural museum behind the Stapflehus, rural life and living to the Museum Dorfstube Ötlingen and industrial history to the Museum Weiler Textilgeschichte in the Kulturzentrum Kesselhaus.
