The museum (Musée Historique Lausanne) presents the history of the city from the Middle Ages to the present day. The museum is located in the former bishop’s palace (Palais des Evêques) right next to the cathedral. The collection shows the development of the city from the Middle Ages by documents, historical objects, photography, graphic arts, painting and applied arts.
