The museum (Museum Schleitheimertal) is dedicated to the history of the town and the region and also highlights the Schleitheim Confession, the Anabaptist confession written in 1527, as a way to unite baptizers, including an overview of important Anabaptist events, such as the Zurich Chronicle and one copy of the original Schleitheim printing. The Tauferstein, or baptist stone, a memorial stone remembering the Anabaptists who fled Switzerland via the Tauferstieg, or baptist path, is also nearby.
