The Collegiate Church of St. Michael (Stift Beromünster, eleventh century) and its buildings (provost’s residence, custodian’s house, 30 canon’s residences and almshouses and Stiftstheater) are an architectural ensemble. The religious treasures include the Relic of Warnebert (7th century), ivories and illuminated books from the 8th– 14th centuries, the Limoge crucifiction, romanes, gothic, renaissance and baroque religious artefacts. The nearby castle museum Beromünster presents the local and regional history.
