The Walserhaus is, above all, a museum of Walser German, the dialect spoken in Gurin. The historical buildings are also museums in themselves. The interior of one half of a house gives an authentic picture of the former way of life.

The presentation of the Walser migration movements and their cultural legacy is also discussed as a subject of great importance for the entire Alpine region.
