Museum of Watch Cases

The museum (Musée de la Boîte de Montre ) is housed  in a former fully reconstructed workshop and presents two typical production methods for watch cases: a manual one from the 1850s and a mechanised one from the 1920s. The museum displays hundreds of objects and documents that help to understand how the production techniques (rolling, stamping, turning, turning, finishing, welding, polishing) have developed. The Museum presents the technological and aesthetic demands of this unique profession, located at the crossroads of art and high precision. Visits by appointment only.
