Museums and art galleries

The museum houses a comprehensive exhibition on the life and work of the poet Gottfried Keller (1819-1890).

The village is a reconstruction of the prehistoric Neolithic architecture and offers insight into the lives of the first inhabitants of the Plateau. Three houses and a storage room form the backdrop for the information and various activities, demonstrations and workshops.  

The museum (Bergsturzmuseum) documents one of the greatest natural disasters in Switzerland through a wide variety of documents, information and objects.  

The museum is dedicated to the collection, archiving, research and performance of folk music from the Appenzell and Toggenburg region (Säntis).
