The museum and the Maria Felchin collection Sammlung show ceramics from Matzendorf and Aedermannsdorf and is the most important collection of ceramics in Solothurn.
The Herrliberger collection in the castle and mill Maur (Burg und Mühle) includes printed Works of the Publisher David Herrliberger (1697–1777) and gives an overview of illustrated books, graphics and printing in the region Zürich from the 16th and nineteenth centuries. The museum further presents paintings, textiles and local history and culture
