Meggenhorn Castle

The Castle, standing on a promontory above Lake Lucerne, knows a long history. Its current outlook dates from the years 1868-1870, with the Loire castle Chambord as inspiration. The chapel was built in 1886, almost a copy of the chapel of another Loire castle, the Amboise castle.

Meilen Museum

The museum (Ortsmuseum Meilen) shows the local and regional history The prehistorical pile dwelling villages, the Roman time and the Middle Age are the main periods covered.
