Jean-Jacques Rousseau Museum Môtiers

The museum is located in the 15th century house, where Jean –Jacques Rousseau and Thérèse Levasseur lived in exile for 3 years. The exposition presents the life and literature of the writer into historical and political perspective.

History Museum des Mascarons

The museum (Musée des Mascarons ) is housed in the Maison des Mascarons, a patrician residence dating from the middle of the 18th century. It owes its name to the sculpted masks that adorn the arches of the windows. The museum presents the history, culture and crafts of the Val-de-Travers.  

Valangin Castle

Schloss Valangin is a medieval castle museum and presents the hall of knights and an interior from the early modern period, kitchen the “Guillemette de Vergy” hall, the former dungeon and the furnishings with paintings, weapons, tools, crockery and other implements of daily use.
