Archaeological Museum Solothurn

The museum (Archäologie im Pächterhaus) exhibits the 2000 years old history of Solothurn by showing the archaeological finds. There are six themes with texts, documents and models covering the six most relevant periods.  

Lapidarium Solothurn

The Museum presents an overview of Roman and medieval stone remains, inscriptions, religious artefacts and other works.

Kosciuszko Museum

The house where the Polish global freedom fighter Tadeusz Kosciuszko (1746-1817) lived and died (1814-1817) has been converted into a museum which tells the story of his fascinating life and his close ties with Solothurn.

The Old Armoury Solothurn

A large part of the collection of the museum (Altes Zeughaus) consists of Solothurn Militaria and its history, including the internationally renowned armour collection with about 400 armour.
