Swiss Museum of Rifle Associations

The exhibits show the development from simple bows to crossbows, and of firearms from the mediaeval “hand gun” to the modern assault rifle. Many valuable weapons are presented, including rifled muskets with inlay-work in bone and horn. Amongst the most significant exhibits is the large silver trophy which King Willem III of the Netherlands donated to the Federal Rifle Championships at Lausanne in 1876. It took four craftsmen an entire year to make.
