Mirabaud BaselHead Regatta

On 13 November 2021, the 11th edition of the Mirabaud BaselHead Regatta will take place on the Rhine in the middle of Basel. Its the biggest happening of its kind in German-speaking Switzerland.

More than 100 boats form nine countries chase each other over a 6.4 kilometer  course (the Mirabaud Classic) through the middle of the town.

The other race is the 350 meter Sprint des Trois Rois from the Mittlere Brücke to Hotel Des Trois Rois.

The long-distance Mirabaud Classic starts and finishes near the “Mittlere Brücke” bridge, first upstream with a turning point half way. Crews start at short intervals.

It’s a demanding course both for athletes and coxes. GPS transmitters in every boat enable tracking from start to finish.
