Museum of Gruyère

The museum (musée gruérien) shows and highlights the cultural heritage of the Gruyère region. The exhibition includes authentic artefacts, the wood industry, farmhouses and agriculture, city planning models and reconstructions and the Gruyère cheese industry.

The museum also features a collection of 61 photographs (daguerreotypes) by the Frenchman Joseph-Philibert Girault de Prangey (1804-1892).
