The permanent exhibition of the museum (Dorfmuseum) is dedicated to the subject areas of living and households around 1900 with furniture, wall decorations, clothes, household appliances, tools, machines and sewing machine collections. Another focal point is village development.
The museum testifies to the former life of the village and the history of the region.
The museum (musée gruérien) shows and highlights the cultural heritage of the Gruyère region. The exhibition includes authentic artefacts, the wood industry, farmhouses and agriculture, city planning models and reconstructions and the Gruyère cheese industry. The museum shows Works by Franz Gertsch (1930) . His woodcuts and monumental paintings are the core business of the permanent exhibition, amongst others his Medici, Four seasons (Die vier Jahreszeiten), Bromelia, Maria and Guadeloupe.
