The museum of interior furnishings in the Castle of Hünegg (Schloss Hünegg) covers the second half of the 19th century, Historismus and Modern Style. The castle was built from 1861 – 1863. The Loire castles Blois, Chenonceau and Azay-Le Rideau served as a pattern. The interior has remained unchanged since 1900.

Johanna Louise Heusser was born in Hirzel in 1827. She became known worldwide as Johanna Spyri with “Heidi” in 1880. The exhibition illuminates the life of this woman.
