The museum shows the fauna of the region.  

Swiss Miniature  is an open-air miniature park with more than 120 models at scale of 1:25 which represent the most important buildings, monuments and transportation means in Switzerland. The Museum (museo d’arte) is housed in a monastery from the thirteenth century. The collection shows paintings from Tessin (18th -20th centuries), modern and contemporary art from Lombardy and German, Flemish and Italian masters from the early modern period (16th -17th centuries).  

The Theatre of the Architecture  (Teatro dell’architettura) is located on the university campus of the Academy of Architecture (L’Accademia di architecttura). in Mendrisio..
