The museum (Musée du Vieux-Moudon) is housed in Maison de Rochefort, one of the most emblematic monuments of Moudon’s history. The collection shows the local history of the ancient town.

The 16th century farm museum (renovated in 1963) is open to the public. The thatched house is a good example of Germanic architecture and living.
