The Würth Collection came into being in the 1960s and is focused on paintings, graphic art and sculptures of the 20th and 21st century and has a significant collection of the later medieval works from southern Germany, the Lake Constance Region and northern Switzerland.
Since 2016, the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur has had a new building next to the renovated Villa Planta for displaying its collection and for temporary exhibitions.
